Double Homicide Investigation 1400 S 2250 E Spanish Fork, UT

1:15 p.m. UPDATE


The names of the two victims in the double homicide are 58 year old Timothy Parker and his wife 50 year old Jeannie Parker.  Both of the victims sustained gunshot wounds.  Spanish Fork Detectives are currently in Grand County Colorado furthering the investigation where the person of interest Tryston Robert Erickson was taken into custody.

March 14, 2023
7:18 p.m. UPDATE 
During the course of the investigation, the female victim's phone pinged near Steamboat Springs, Colorado around 5 p.m. on March 14. Suspecting that the phone was with the residence's missing vehicle, Spanish Fork Police contacted authorities in Colorado and provided the vehicle information and circumstances that took place in Spanish Fork.
 
Shortly after speaking with local Colorado authorities, the Grand County Sheriff's Office located the vehicle near Kremmling, Colorado, and initiated a traffic stop where a pursuit ensued. 
 
After the pursuit, police were able to make contact with the driver, who identified himself as Tryston Robert Erickson and was taken into custody. He is currently being held on local charges in the Grand County Colorado jail.
 
Names of the victims will not be released until positive identification is given by the medical examiner. 

5:50 p.m. UPDATE

Spanish Fork, UT- On March 14, 2023 around 12:17 PM Spanish Fork Police received a call for a welfare check at a residence near 1400 S 2250 E.  A co-worker to one of the victims called stating his co-worker had not shown up to work for the past two days.  Officers attempted contact at the residence without success.  Officers also attempted contact by cell phone again without success.  Officers were able to contact family members who provided officers with a key to the home but it was not the correct key.  Around 1:45 PM, officers found an unlocked window at the residence and entered the home.  Spanish Fork police officers cleared the residence and while doing so located two deceased individuals inside the home.  Officers are currently waiting for a search warrant to be approved to begin their investigation.  The deceased are a 58-year-old Male and a 50-year-old Female

Person of interest Tryston Robert Erickson was located by police in Colorado and has been taken into custody.

Spanish Fork Police are looking for the son of the deceased who is a  person of interest: Tryston Robert Erickson, 26-year-old male, 5’5” tall, with blue eyes and shaggy curly hair.  A vehicle is missing from the residence and is believed to have been taken by Tryston.  2018 Hyundai Elantra bluish-grey in color with Utah license plate N806S.
