Spanish Fork, UT — On Tuesday night, Spanish Fork City Councilmember Keir Scoubes announced his resignation from the Spanish Fork City Council, effective at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on June 15, 2021. Scoubes, a Colonel of the Utah Army National Guard, was selected to attend the United States Inter-American Defense College (IADC) beginning next month.

Notice is hereby given of a vacancy on the Spanish Fork City Council. The vacancy will be filled at a special City Council meeting on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, located at 40 S. Main in Spanish Fork.

Those wishing to be considered for the appointment should apply in person, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the City Recorder by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. 

Councilmember Scoubes’ term is scheduled to end on January 4, 2022. The appointment to the City Council will last from June 16, 2021 through January 4, 2022.
