All-Abilities Park Design Released

On Wednesday, February 19, Spanish Fork City released the design for the new All-Abilities Park, which is under construction at 1225 E Canyon Road. The City worked with In-Site Design, a local landscapre architecture firm, to design the park's layout and features. Additionally, City staff and met with over 30 local families who have children with special needs to identify what features would be most helpful to them.

The new park, which is anticpated to be completed in July 2020, is over 10 acres and has a number of different amenities, including a sensory garden, water features, play apparatus, swings, ziplines, and slides. Many of the features are tailored for individuals with specific needs, including metal slides for those with cochlear implants, a swing designed for individuals in wheelchairs, and zip lines with straps.

More information regarding the park's design is available on the project website (www.spanishfork.org/aap).
