The City of Spanish Fork is offering two types of Traffic School. The advantages of such schools are to provide drivers who normally do not receive citations the opportunity to attend a class and keep a clean driving record. Upon completion of traffic school, the citation will be dismissed and will not show up on personal driving records. To qualify for Spanish Fork City's Traffic School you must meet the following criteria:
- You must not have attended or taken Spanish Fork Traffic School within the past year.
- You must have a valid drivers license at the time of the citation.
- You must call the Police Department for verification of eligibility.
Note: The presence of alcohol disqualifies you from attending the traffic school. Citations which involve an accident will be handled on a case by case basis under the direction of the Spanish Fork Police Department Administration or the City Prosecutor's Office.
CDL holders are NOT eligible for Traffic School.
A Live Traffic School and an Online Traffic School are offered. You may choose to attend either course. Follow the below instructions for the course you choose to take.
Upon completion of the course the City will dismiss the charge and no points will be shown on your permanent driving record. If you fail to attend or comply, a guilty plea will be entered and your plea in abeyance fee will be forfeited to the fine.
If you choose not to attend one of the two schools offered, you are still responsible for the citation which may include court appearances and possible fines.
