Lap Swimming will be held Tuesday - Friday, 5:00-6:30 p.m. Two to three lanes will be roped off in the deep end of the pool. The lanes are 25 yards long. No Lap swimming on Mondays, Saturdays, or Holidays! Regular admission price is charged or one punch on a punch pass.
Scout Merit Badge Classes
The Spanish Fork Water park offers both the Lifesaving Merit Badge class and the Swimming Merit Badge class. All merit badge classes require online registration with a registration fee of $15.00. Class enrollment is limited to 10 scouts per class. It will take a minimum of four to five days to complete the Lifesaving Merit Badge or Swimming Merit Badge. You must pass the Swimming Merit Badge Class before you can take the Lifesaving Merit Badge Class. Swimming Merit Badge classes ARE NOT a substitute for swimming lessons. Scouts need to have basic swimming skills to be successful in these classes.

In order to complete the Lifesaving Merit Badge, you must have CPR training. This may be done at the Water Park or with Scout Group.
A summer Swim Team is available for boys and girls up to age 18 interested in competitive swimming. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 25 yards in freestyle, 25 yards in backstroke and have a knowledge of a third racing stroke (breaststroke or butterfly). Due to the popular demand of being on the swim team, spots will be limited. Swimmers must compete in at least 2 meets to qualify for County Meets. Swimmers will receive group instruction on the four racing strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly), starts, and turns.
Practices will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings and are broken into three separate practices according to skill level. Level 3 at 7:30-8:30 a.m., Level 2 at 8:30-9:30 a.m., Level 1 at 9:30-10:15 a.m. Levels will be assigned by the coaches. Practice will begin on Thursday, May 30 and run through Friday, July 26 (ending date may be extended depending on championship meet). Swimmers that are participating in the county meets will continue to practice during the week of the county meets.
Swim team try-outs are required for swimmers who have not been on the Swim Team before to make sure they meet the minimum requirements. Tryouts are on Tuesday, May 28 at 7:30 a.m. at the Spanish Fork Water Park.
The registration fee for Swim Team will be $100.00. If you register by Friday, May 31, you will receive a $5.00 discount, making the fee $95.00. * Non-city residents pay additional $10.00 per person non-resident fee.
Registration fee INCLUDES the Utah County Swimming Registration Fee which is $15 and a team T-shirt. Registration begins on May 2. All swimsuits for Swim Team must be paid for at the Parks & Recreation Office. Swimsuits cannot be purchased online. Boys and girls will not be allowed to practice until their fee is paid. Registration may be paid following tryouts if you are not sure if your child can meet the minimum requirements.
There will be a Parents Meeting at the Water Park Pavilion on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Parents will be given information about ordering swimsuits and caps, county rules, practice expectations, and meet the coaches.
Water Aerobics is an effective exercise for all body types and fitness levels. Morning classes are held on Monday - Friday mornings from 8:00 a.m. -9:00 a.m. Evening classes are held Monday - Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Evening classes are held in the deeper end of the pool. Water aerobics is conducted in water between 4’2” to 5’ deep; therefore, you may be able to touch the bottom of the pool and you will always have a piece of buoyant equipment.
Classes are a lot of fun! Come and give it a try! Morning classes will begin Tuesday, May 28. Evening classes will also begin Tuesday, May 28 (weather permitting).
