The Cash Days Street Race is a 1/8 mile head-to-head race of street-legal cars which consists of multiple heats. Depending on the number of participants, the cash purse can get pretty lucrative for the winner. The entrants each contribute a significant amount of cash to the purse as an entry fee and are matched up randomly for the first heat. If there were 32 entries then there would be 16 initial heats of 2 cars each. Followed by 8 heats of 2 cars each for the winners of the first heat. The next heat would be 8 cars, then 4 cars, then the final with the 2 fastest cars competing for the whole cash purse. Driver skill is the most critical factor in winning this contest as the event is held on our taxiway which is fairly narrow for 2 cars and spinning the tires on startup can lead to a slow start.

The Exotic Car Runway Attack is a top-speed contest. Typically this event is run by exotic cars like Lamborghinis, Bugattis, and McLarens but we have had exceptionally fast times turned in by Nissans and other more typical cars. This event is also conducted on our taxiway, but it is run one car at a time. Each car gets multiple attempts to see how fast they can get going by the ½ mile mark. The winner is whoever records the fastest speed at the end of ½ mile.

The Autocross event is an obstacle course of orange cones set up to challenge a driver’s ability to quickly control a car through the course. This event is conducted one racer at a time and the winner is the driver who is able to complete the course in the fastest time.
