The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to oversee the daily operations of the City, implement the policies adopted by the City Council, and provide leadership and direction to city departments and staff. 

Additionally, the powers and duties of the City Manager include: 

  • Function as the chief administrative officer of the City
  • Prepare the annual budget for the Mayor and City Council
  • Submit to the Mayor and City Council plans and programs relating to the development and needs of the City
