Brief Bio:

Richard Davis has resided in Spanish Fork his entire life. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School and continued his education at Utah State University. Richard married a local girl, Tamara Thomas, and is the father of four children--Rory, Hayley (Lundeen), Kiplyn and Karissa. He also has five grandchildren. He has been the owner of a concrete construction business since 1977.

Richard loves the city of Spanish Fork and people who live here. He coached for eighteen years in youth baseball and Jr. Jazz basketball programs. Richard helped in the construction of Volunteer Sports Park, the restroom facility at the city park and the restoration of the pioneer cemetery. He has donated many hours and money towards improvements of the gun club, the old ball field and the building of the snack shack at the high school. He was on the committee that brought the Vietnam Memorial Wall to Spanish Fork. Richard loves working hand in hand with the veterans during Memorial Day putting up the flags and crosses honoring the former veterans of Spanish Fork. He is a past president of the Kiwanis Club. He is dedicated to his callings in his church.

During his term in office he has helped to bring in the improvements of Main Street and Highway 6 on I-15. Because of his construction knowledge, he was instrumental in saving thousands of dollars on the North Park project.

Why Are You Running For Spanish Fork City Council?

I am proud that I grew up in Spanish Fork and have watched the city grow properly. Those forefathers who founded our city of "Pride and Progress" are my mentors and I will continue to follow in their footsteps to keep this community a clean, safe and beautiful place to live. I'll continue to strive to keep our utilities and property taxes the lowest in the county. I'll continue to see that our employees are properly trained in their fields as our city grows. I love working along with the residents of Spanish Fork, taking pride in this city and helping serve one another, watching out for one another and getting involved in community action. I will continue to be there when citizens have concerns about our city. I believe that as Spanish Fork grows we can continue to have a "small town atmosphere". I would love to continue to serve you.
