City Council Member Jens Nielson

Councilman Jens Neilson was born and raised in Blanding, UT. He attended Brigham Young University where he earned a BA in English. He later earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Creighton School of Law. He worked at Tahitian Noni International from 1999-2006 and currently is the owner of Wasatch Land & Title.

He married Tricia Downey from Benjamin/Spanish Fork and they have three children: Whitney, Tanner, and Hunter. He has coached soccer, softball, baseball, basketball and football and enjoys reading, playing sports, coaching and writing.

Councilman Nielson is serving his first four-year term on the city council and currently serves on the following Committees and/or Boards:

• Miss Spanish Fork Pageant
• Personnel Committee
• Waste Water Plant Advisory
