City Council Member Steve Leifson

Mr. Leifson was born in Spanish Fork. His parents are Ted and Ruth Nelson Leifson of Spanish Fork. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School. he received an Associate Degree in Construction Management from the Trade Tech (UVSC). He served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the England North Mission. He is currently the President and owner of SML Construction, Inc.
Council members Leifson is married to Cheryl Cosgray from Indiana. They have six children: Nathan married to Jil Coles, Adam, Jennifer married to Nick Wilson, Sierra, Christina and Sean. He also has three grandsons: Chase, Max and Griff. He enjoys sports, golfing, traveling, reading, and coaching.
Spanish Fork has always been a great place to live and raise a family. For generations, my family has been involved in community service on the City Council and various committees. Spanish Fork is the "Home of Pride and Progress"! Mr. Leifson serves on the following boards and commissions:
- Utah Municipal Power Agency (UMPA)
- South Utah Valley Power System (SUVPS)
