Sanitary Sewer

Spanish Fork City has approximately 120 miles of sanitary sewer pipe throughout the city. These pipes range from 4 inches to 36 inches in diameter. Each individual residence typically has a 4 inch sewer lateral running from the house to the city sewer pipe in the street. These pipes collect the sewage and transport it to the wastewater reclamation facility at the north end of town. There the sewage is biologically broken down into solids and clean water. Currently no reclaimed water is used in the city of Spanish Fork for either culinary water or irrigation water.
