Pressurized Irrigation General Information

Sprinkler Systems

Pressure varies throughout the city depending on the elevation of the home and the time of year. The best way to find the pressure at a home is with a pressure gauge on an outside water or pressurized irrigation tap. However, it is generally advisable to design sprinklers systems for 45 psi of pressure. Although most areas have higher pressure then this, under estimating pressure ensures good sprinkler coverage throughout the summer months.

If you have pressure problems please report them to the engineering secretary at 801-798-5000 ext. 22 or msmith@spanishfork.org.

If a home has pressurized irrigation installed, sprinkler systems should be hooked up to it. The resident will be charged for the pressurized irrigation whether it is used or not.
