June 20,2006Here are our last week of incidents - one that jumped out at me was the rape. This is a report of a six year old that while living in Duchesne had been raped. Both the suspect and the victim now live here in SF.
We were requested to assist in the investigation. The suspect is 14 years old. This case is not completed.
The four sexual offenses involving children also may catch your attention. One is an on going investigation that we cannot comment on at this time. One was an unfounded report. The last two are consensual
sexual acts between youth not of age(13 and 17 year old), the older of
the two youths will be referred to Juvenile Court.

Monday June 5, 2006Regarding the dead body. On Sunday our officers were called to a home where a 25 year old male was in cardiac arrest. EMT's administered two shocks to the victim. He was then transported to the Mountain View Hospital where he was pronounced dead. There is an active investigation going on this case. The victim had no outward signs of injury. The body is currently at the Medical Examiners Office. No further information will be released at this time.
Regarding the Robbery. Officers were called to an area of Spanish Fork where a hispanic male reported that he had his truck stolen from him after a road rage incident. The victim had been cut/stabed by the suspect. The victim indicated that there were two or three suspects in the suspect vehicle. The suspects were described as hispanic males. The victim indicated that he did not know the identity of the suspects. The victim indicated that the suspects had followed him from the Springville area. Once in Spanish Fork the victim pulled over and stopped his truck and got out. The suspect vehicle stopped and one of the suspects got out and came at the victim with a knife. The victim received cut/stab wounds to both biceps areas of his arms. After assaulting the victim the suspect jumped into the victims truck and drove off. A second suspect followed in the suspect vehicle. The victims truck was recovered several blocks away where the suspect had hit a curb and flattened a tire disabling the truck. The suspect driving the truck then was picked up by the other suspects where they then fled the area. The victim received medical attention from the Spanish Fork Ambulance personnel but refused to go to the hospital.
Investigators followed up on the information provided by the victim. They identified whom they believe were present in the suspect vehicle and whom stabbed the victim. The events that were reported by the victim were not corroborated by investigators. Investigators believe the victim and the suspect know each other and in fact spent time together this same night. The victim was confronted with information obtained by investigators and is now refusing to assist any further in the investigation and/or prosecution. This investigation is continuing at this time. As further information is obtained by investigators or when the case disposition changes, notification will be given to the public.

4/2/06 to 4/9/06The only offense that jumps out at you this week is the criminal mischief. We had someone going around (mostly the west side) spray painting in black color "Murder Mob". Detectives have some leads they are following up on. Any further information citizens might have would be greatly appreciated. Although we do have graffiti problems we seem to have less than some of our surrounding communities. Last year there were around 12 sites reported to the police that had been vandalized by graffiti. This recent activity this past week end puts us over the number of graffiti reports taken last year. Each of the graffiti reports averaged about $200 in damage. We do have a graffiti liaison of Alyn Olson. She has volunteered to help with graffiti clean up. She can be contacted at home 798-6070 or using the police web page under Graffiti-tip

Alyn helps coordinate with TAG Teens against Graffiti to clean up the graffiti. The cost for the clean up is not charged to the citizen.
