Follow up on a business burglary. Officer Lance Rudd took a report of a business burglary where several cases of beer were stolen. The beer was found in a camp trailer by the owner of the trailer. The owner spoke to the local businessman and found he had some beer stolen in a recent burglary. The owner of the camp trailer spoke to his son about the beer he had found . The boy told his father that he had stolen the beer from the business. The suspect is a 19 year old male from Spanish Fork.

Follow up - K-mart loss prevention officer contacted Spanish Fork Police and reported that they had chased two adult males out of the store who were stealing merchandise. The males had jumped into a waiting getaway car and sped off. Detective Jackson was assigned the case and was able to determine who one of the suspects were. An interview of an adult male living in the Price area was conducted. During this interview the suspect indicated he was responsible for the retail theft but would not reveal his accomplices. Because this suspect had been twice convicted of theft, this charge was aggravated to a felony. The case has been sent to the Utah County Attorney.

At around 9:00pm a report of a reckless driver was reported to Sergeant Cory Slaymaker. Sergeant Slaymaker was told that the driver had hit into a utility trailer, traveled at 60 mph in a 25 mph zone and taken the vehicle without the permission of the owner. The driver, Charles Ney, was located and placed under arrest for DUI, reckless driving, hit and run and driving on a suspended drivers license. Ney was booked into the Utah County Jail.

Over the last several weeks a one man crime spree has taken place. Detective John Jackson made contact with the suspect and was able to obtain a confession and solve these cases. The suspect Thad Brown was arrested for burglary of a home, several check forgeries and theft of money. These charges were added to the charges he was currently being held on at the Utah County Jail.

Detective Nielsen was working a DUI enforcement shift. Several citizens called regarding a reckless and possibly intoxicated driver. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of the Oak Crest Inn restaurant. The driver was found to be passed out in the vehicle while it was still running. The driver was found to be impaired and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Detective Nielsen stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop Detective Nielsen was able to find that a passenger had a felony warrant out for his arrest. A search of the vehilce was conducted where marijuana , methamphetamine and paraphernalia were found. While searching the occupants the driver was found to be in possession of marijuana. It was also determined that the driver had given a alias to the officer. The driver had a suspended drivers license for drugs and an outstanding warrant. Joseph Madrigal was arrested for a felony warrant. Randall Richmond was arrested for driving on suspension, possession of marijuana in a drug free zone, possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug free zone, traffic violation, and his outstanding warrant. A third occupant was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug free zone and allowing the operation of a vehicle with no insurance.
