City officials are closely monitoring the snow pack still remaining as compared to that of 1984.

Over the past couple of weeks, city crews have been working on cleaning out the riverbed by removing dead trees and broken limbs that have fallen into the river, similar to those shown in the pictures below.

These efforts will allow the increased water flows to run downriver unimpeded, which will help prevent flooding that river blockages often cause. The City has also positioned several large tractors along the river which will be used to remove any branches or trees that get stuck along the river over the next several days. City crews and officials continue to monitor the river and help residents as they prepare themselves for potential flooding this year.
