Spanish Fork Ambulance Dept - News - St. George Training Attended By 10

St. George Training Attended By 10

Lots Learned, Election Held

This past weekend saw 10 of our Spanish Fork EMTs traveling to St. George to attend a training conference. Many topics were covered, including actions to be taken in the event of a bomb, with live explosives being demonstrated. Mark Byers, a local police officer and EMT, presented an informative lecture on the handling of animal bites. During the conference, Robyn Snyder was presented with an award for her 20 years of service in EMS. Robyn said she loves being an EMT and really enjoys learning and keeping up with advances in the field of emergency medicine. Robyn is currently one of the training officers for Spanish Fork Ambulance. Elections were also held for officer's positions in the Utah Association of EMTs at the conference. Terry Stowell, also a member of the Spanish Fork Ambulance, was voted in as the Vice-President. Terry has been a member of the Department for 15 years.
