Scout Life Saving and Swimming Merit Badge Classes

Life Saving Merit Badge and Swimming Merit Badge classes will also be held this summer. You may call the Water Park at 798-5091 for further information. The registration fee will be $2.50 per day per class. It will take a minimum of five days to complete the Life Saving Merit Badge making the fee $12.50 (5 days at $2.50 per day). The fee for the Swimming Merit Badge will depend on how many days it takes to complete the requirements (2 days, $5.00; 3 days, $7.50; etc.) You must pass the Swimming Merit Badge Class before you can take the Life Saving Merit Badge Class.

Four sessions of classes will be held: Monday, June 2 to Friday, June 6; Monday, June 9 to Friday, June 13; Monday, June 30 to Thursday, July 3; and Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25. The Swimming Merit Badge will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Life Saving Merit Badge will be from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 noon. In order to complete the Life Saving Merit Badge, you must have an additional 1 hour of CPR training. This may be done at the Water Park or at Scout Group.

NOTE: The June 30 - July 3 class will be four days due to Friday, July 4. In the July 21-25 class, July 24th will be skipped. In both of these weeks, if an additional day is needed, class will use the Saturday at the end of the week to finish Merit Badge requirements.
