Nebo Chorale Gets New Director

After an extensive search, the Spanish Fork Arts Council is pleased to introduce Lindsey Snarr Partridge as the new director of the Nebo Chorale, Spanish Fork's community choir.

Lindsey brings a wealth of experience and talent to this position. She earned a degree in music education with a Choral emphasis from Weber State University, has over 8 years of experience as a high school choral director, and currently teaches private voice lessons. She has received numerous awards and been in many musical productions both as director and performer, and was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir from 2002-2010.

Come join Lindsey and the rest of the Nebo Chorale as they begin their 2011-12 season. Practices will be held every Tuesday at 7:00 pm (beginning September 6) in the choir room at Spanish Fork High School. The Chorale will perform October 8 at the Harvest Moon Hurrah, Spanish Fork's annual fall arts festival at the Library Park on Center & Main Street. Additionally they will be preparing for their annual Christmas concert in December with the Nebo Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Nebo Chorale was formed in 1992 and has been performing in the community for Christmas, Easter, and other concerts ever since. The mission of the Nebo Chorale is to enrich the lives of its participants by providing top quality choral direction and music education, encouraging the development of the singer and the individual, building a fun, cohesive, high-quality performing group, and to be a valuable resource and enrich the quality of life in the community by providing meaningful and entertaining performances. In 2006 the choir started hiring professionally trained directors and has seen vast improvement in its sound and audience appeal as a result. The Chorale welcomes anyone 18 and older in Spanish Fork and the surrounding community to join the choir. Inquiries can be sent to: arts@sfcn.org.
