When Matt moved to Utah several years ago, he and his wife visited many cities throughout Utah County looking for a place that fit their values and visions. When he visited Spanish Fork he knew it was the place he could bring his family to and feel the sense of community pride that would support his family. Matt has been in the financial industry for over 10 years. He has served in many different capacities from teacher, investor, and manager. Matt has always had a deep love of our country and its history. This love has led him to service in many different civic groups from Lions to Cub Scouts. He loves being involved in organizing and supporting these groups. Matt has a very strong work ethic and moral values that are necessary for establishing trust and open relationships with everyone that he works with.
Why Are You Running For Spanish Fork City Council?
I believe that the very essence of our freedom lies right here in our community, our neighborhoods, and our homes. Our city is at an important phase of growth and needs someone who will be readily available to show the citizens and business owners of Spanish Fork they are the reason the community is so great. I recognize the importance of our businesses and want to give them the voice they need to support growth. I also feel the city needs to invite other great businesses into our community. My financial background will reinforce my effort to ensure Spanish Fork city government remains fiscally responsible and is open and honest with the community.
